The Porsche think tank is celebrating its anniversary: 50 years ago, the Weissach Development Centre went into operation. The Development Centre’s story began on 1 October, 1971 with the relocation of the development and design departments from Zuffenhausen to Weissach, 25 kilometres away from Stuttgart. Since then, the Development Centre has been a hub for innovative vehicles and intelligent development projects.

100 years to the day since the first race win for a Bentley, the winning car itself – known as EXP2 – returned to the famous Brooklands Racetrack in Surrey yesterday to lead a cavalcade of 3-Litre Bentleys to celebrate the centenary of its victory. EXP2 is the oldest Bentley in the world, and only the second car ever built by W.O. Bentley’s fledgling company in 1921. EXP2 led a field of 24 3-Litres from across the country, which formed up on the remaining section of the banked Brooklands circuit…
The “World Car of the Year 2021” is a Volkswagen: The new fully electric ID.4 prevailed over the strong international competition at the international World Car Awards. The World Car Awards are presented by more than 90 international motor journalists from 24 countries, who vote on the best innovations on the world market.
Preparations are underway for the 2021 season in the MotoGP World Championship, which begins on 28th March with the Grand Prix of Qatar in Losail. BMW M has been the ‘Official Car of MotoGP’ since 1999, an involvement that includes the provision of the safety car fleet. This year marks the first time that BMW M GmbH is presenting three new safety cars and a new safety bike. In Qatar, the BMW M3, the BMW M4 and the BMW M5 CS Safety Cars will be celebrating their debuts. They will be joined by the new BMW M 1000 RR Safety Bike. The BMW M 1000 RR is the first M model from BMW Motorrad and the racing version will be appearing in the Superbike World Championship.
The all-new Toyota Yaris has been named as The Car of the Year 2021.Toyota has been awarded with The Car of the Year three times. Yaris won in 2000, Prius took top honours in 2005 and now Yaris has lifted the trophy again in 2021.
