30 million vehicles with Takata airbag inflators investigated in the U.S.

U.S. auto safety investigators have opened a new probe into 30 million vehicles built by nearly two dozen automakers with potentially defective Takata airbag inflators, a government document seen by Reuters on Sunday showed. The new investigation includes vehicles assembled by Honda, Ford, Toyota, General Motors, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Ferrari, Mazda, Daimler, BMW, Chrysler (Stellantis), Porsche, Jaguar and others.

Ford adds new Ranger Raptor Special Edition to the company’s pickup range

The Ranger Raptor – the toughest, highest-performing variant of Europe’s best-selling pick-up – was revealed today in the form of a new Ranger Raptor Special Edition model. Built in limited numbers to ensure exclusivity, the new Ranger Raptor Special Edition enhances the thoroughbred pick-up’s commanding exterior and premium interior with additional styling accents including bold racing stripes and distinctive red detailing. Ranger Raptor Special Edition will reach Ford dealerships in Europe from October this year.

Ford says by mid-2026, 100% of its passenger vehicle range in Europe will be zero-emissions capable

Ford today is taking a significant step forward in its European transformation with a commitment to go all-in on its electric passenger vehicles and to substantially grow and electrify its leading commercial vehicle business. Ford committed today that by mid-2026, 100 percent of Ford’s passenger vehicle range in Europe will be zero-emissions capable, all-electric or plug-in hybrid, and will be completely all-electric by 2030. Similarly, Ford’s entire commercial vehicle range will be zero-emissions capable, all-electric or plug-in hybrid, by 2024, with two-thirds of Ford’s commercial vehicle sales expected to be all-electric or plug-in hybrid by 2030.
