Porsche infotainment system update: more versatile, more intuitive, more intelligent

Porsche is enhancing its infotainment system. The latest, sixth generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) in the 911, Taycan, Cayenne and Panamera models now has many new functions. These include native integration of Spotify for the first time, a revised interface design, additional optimisation of Voice Pilot voice assistant, wireless Android Auto connection and improvements for planning charging stops for electric vehicles.

Bentley Motors’ new, state-of-the-art Engineering Test Centre begins operations

Bentley Motors today announced its new, state-of-the-art Engineering Test Centre has commenced operations after receiving official approval from Britain’s Vehicle Certification Agency. Based at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, this latest investment follows the recent recertification by the Carbon Trust marking three years as a carbon neutral site.  

Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 1701 re-enacted its astonishing run in the 1911 London-Edinburgh Trial

20-Ghost Club re-enacts historic London-Edinburgh Trial of 1911 with the winning Silver Ghost, chassis number 1701. Starting from the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, the two-day run replicated as much of the original route along the Great North Road as possible. Trip ends with a celebration at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Edinburgh.

70 years since Bentley established own design department in Crewe

Bentley Motors is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of its own Design department at Crewe. The first Crewe-designed Bentley was the R-Type Continental in 1951, and was the responsibility of John Blatchley, the Head of Styling. John’s previous experience as chief designer from Gurney-Nutting, the coachbuilders responsible for the iconic ‘Blue Train’ Bentley, meant he had a honed sense of proportion and form.
